I haven’t had a chance to try it since I bought it for my sister who lives abroad. I hope its good.

Amazon had told me I would have it by tomorrow and they are just shipping it today with an expected delivery in 8 more days. This has got to be the worst experience I’ve had with amazon shipping.

I bought this when my nephew was almost 2yrs old and he is about to turn 4. My nephew loves to test the limits of his independence and since I don’t believe in harnesses and wrist bands/leashes for kids I needed a safe alternative. I bought it for my peace of mind to use at the mall and amusement parks. He loves being what we call “alarmed.” I turn it on then he’s allowed to hit the activator twice to arm himself.
I have not had problems with placing the item on him. He either wears it on his velcro shoes or puts it in his front pocket. I on the other hand have set off the alarm by putting it in my front pocket but better safe then sorry.
I have only had to change the batteries in the locator and activator once and the product has held up remarkably well considering it is always carried in my purse in case I go to the mall. The alarm is definitely loud enough for use at a mall, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, or Six Flags in the rain. I would highly recomend this product to anyone.

We bought this locator to keep track of our 2 year old son. He refuses to hold our hands, or stay near us when we are out. The only optioin was to keep him in the stroller and he was constantly saying “Down Please”. It works great. He can run around the zoo and I have only had to use it once when he got out of my sight. For our son it also serves as a “stop” signal. When it goes off, he stops to see what is happening, and that gives us a chance to catch up with him. I agree that the bear is a little bulky. Our son can’t wear it on his shoes as he tries to shake it off, or it gets caught when he is climbing at the play ground. I took a 2″x1″ piece of material, and made a strap with a saftey pin at each end. I thread this through the belt loop on the back of his pants and secure it. If his pants don’t have a belt loop, I just pin it in the same place. This works great! Our son calls it his “bye bye bear”. He knows if we get this out, he can get down and run around where ever we are.
